🚆 Public Transport to Marriott Hotel Ghent

From Brussels Midi Station

Train + Tram

1. Train: Take a direct train from Brussels Midi to Gent Sint-Pieters station. The journey takes approximately 28 minutes.
2. Tram: From Gent Sint-Pieters, take tram Line 1 or 3 and get off at Gent Galgenberg. Or take tram line 4 and get off at Gent Theresianenstraat. The tram ride lasts about 15 minutes.
3. Walk: From Gent Galgenberg or Ghent Theresianenstraat, it’s an 11-minute walk to the Marriott Hotel Ghent.

From Brussels Central Station

Train + Tram

1. Train: Take a direct train from Brussels Central to Gent Sint-Pieters station.
2. Tram: From Gent Sint-Pieters, take tram Line 1 or 3 and get off at Gent Galgenberg. Or take tram line 4 and get off at Gent Theresianenstraat. The tram ride lasts about 15 minutes.
3. Walk: From Gent Galgenberg or Ghent Theresianenstraat, it’s an 11-minute walk to the Marriott Hotel Ghent.

Note: Participants arriving at Brussels South (Midi) and Central stations are recommended to use public transportation as no shuttles will operate from these stations.

From Zaventem Airport (Brussels Airport) by Public Transport

1. Train: From Brussels Airport – Zaventem, take an Intercity or S-train to Gent Sint-Pieters (~55 minutes, direct or with one transfer at Brussels Midi depending on schedule).
2. Tram: From Gent Sint-Pieters, take tram Line 1 or 3 and get off at Gent Galgenberg. Or take tram line 4 and get off at Gent Theresianenstraat. The tram ride lasts about 15 minutes.
3. Walk: From Gent Galgenberg or Ghent Theresianenstraat, it’s an 11-minute walk to the Marriott Hotel Ghent.

Estimated total travel time: Around 1 hour 20 minutes.

🎫 Ticket Fares

Train (Brussels Airport or Brussels Stations to Ghent): €6–€14 one-way (includes airport supplement for Zaventem departures).
Tram (Gent Sint-Pieters to Sint-Michielsplein): €3 one-way.

NB: Keep your train tickets after validation—they will need to be scanned again to exit the stations.

🚗 Reach the Marriott Hotel Ghent by Car

• Follow the E40 motorway toward Ghent/Ostende. Take the exit Gent-Centrum / Sint-Pieters.
• At the first roundabout, follow signs toward Sint-Michielsplein / Marriott Hotel Ghent.
• Continue straight until you reach the hotel entrance.

Parking:

• Underground parking available.
• Fees: €25 per day per car.

🚖 Reach the Marriott Hotel Ghent by Shuttle

While we strongly encourage participants to travel to Ghent using public transportation, two complimentary shuttle buses will be organized from Brussels Airport to the venue on 9 February, departing respectively at 10:30 and 11:30.

Estimated travel time by shuttle: 1 hour.

Return Shuttle:

• The organisers will arrange bus transport for all participants from the hotel back to Zaventem Airport on the scheduled departure day at 13:10.
• Please arrive at the hotel lobby before the departure time.
• Make sure to book your return flight allowing sufficient time for the 1 hour 15 minute journey from the venue to Zaventem Airport, plus airport check-in and security procedures.
